Stan Porch is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), which is the gold-standard certification in the information security industry. Stan is knowledgeable in the standards for securing data, and his CISSP designation qualifies him to prepare and approve objective, independent reports and assessments for compliance audits. Stan is also a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) with EC-Council. He is proficient with implementing specific administrative, technical, and physical safeguards that adapt to a company's size and complexity. Additionally, He is well-versed with security policies such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO / NIST.
Education
Stan has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Technology Development and Management, summa cum laude, with a specialization in Cybersecurity from St. Petersburg College. He is a lifetime member of the Golden Key International collegiate honor society. He also has an Associate in Science in Computer/Web Programming and Analysis, magna cum laude, from St. Petersburg College and graduated as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa academic honor society.
Accomplishments
Stan has over twenty years of experience in information technology and project management. He is proficient in many programming languages, including PHP, Perl, Python, Cold Fusion, C, C++, C#, Objective C, JavaScript, VB.Net, ASP.Net, HTML, CSS, MySQL, Microsoft SQL, and Oracle. Additionally, he is knowledgable with multiple operating systems such as Linux, Unix, Solaris, Windows, and Mac-OS.
Stan started Digital Dreams during the early days of the Internet with his wife, Alice. Since then, he developed a variety of enterprise-level systems for several companies. He also developed and managed an e-commerce site, DreamChat.com, which was an online chat service. As the site grew in popularity, it became a victim of constant hacker attacks. His experience securing the chat system gave him invaluable experience in Internet security. Additionally, he has extensive experience with compliance as he served as a Security Architect for the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, which processes trillions of dollars of securities transactions every day. Currently, Stan is a Technical Account Manager at Check Point Software Technologies and assists Alice with compliance matters.
